Inspired at a young age by Sidney Poitier, Evan Cleaver was driven to have an impact as an artist.
With roots in Kansas City, MO he went south to attend Dillard University of New Orleans where he became the first student on a basketball scholarship to graduate with a degree in Acting.
After narrowly eluding Hurricane Katrina he moved to California where he earned his M.F.A. in Acting from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts).
