Charles served in the British Army 1991-2002, an officer in The Welsh Guards. He left the army to be an actor, and was accepted into Guildhall School of Music & Drama, where he received BA (Hons) Acting.
He has lived in England, Kenya, Northern Ireland, China and Australia.
