Sean Cisterna is an accomplished, multi-award winning film director.
Cisterna was recognized by the federal government with a Canada 150 Citizenship Award for Thought Leadership for "dedication to and community engagement in the arts".
His works are frequently screened at recognized international festivals and often find homes with broadcasters and distributors worldwide. Cisterna rolled the dice and financed his first theatrical feature, Moon Point (2011), on a couple of credit cards.
The film was thankfully acquired by The Movie Network and broadcast nationally in 2012.
His feature length documentary 30 Ghosts (2013) was developed out of the Hot Docs International Documentary Film Festival's Doc Ignite program, and now resides with the National Film Board of Canada.

Most recently, Cisterna directed the award-winning feature film From The Vine (2019), an international coproduction between Italy and Canada, centred around the world of wine, and filmed in Acerenza, a 2000 year old town never before featured on film.
